The project “Establishment of Cell for SC/ST” is being implemented by UCOST in collaboration with the Department of Science & Technology, Government of India. Benefits- - To address the basic problems of all Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities living in the 13 districts of Uttarakhand through scientific applications. - To promote sustainable development among Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes through various scientific applications, guiding them towards proper development. - To enhance the traditional knowledge system through innovation by providing skill development and entrepreneurship training. - To establish a database of technologies and map the basic resources of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

1. The beneficiaries must belong to a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe community residing in any of the 13 districts of the Kumaon and Garhwal divisions of Uttarakhand. (Mainly: more than 50% of the population)

    1. Step 1: Offline application — step 1

      SC/ST communities living in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand will be the targeted beneficiaries at the district level, for which baseline data will be generated by selecting priority areas within these SC/ST communities.
